What is a zine?
A zine, or better known as a "fanzine" in its full term, is a small and self published magazine/booklet that focuses on a particular topic. Many fandoms come together to make their own zines frequently, and the Splatoon fandom is no different.What does this zine focus on?
This zine focuses on idols within the Splatoon universe. OCs, personal interpretations of canon characters, and contributor collaborations are allowed and encouraged.Is prior experience needed?
With our creation period being stricter than most, we would recommend potential contributors already be familiar with the zine pipeline. Prior experience is highly preferred, but not required.Is this zine for profit? Is it digital or a physical zine?
If enough interest is gauged for physical merch, any extra funds after ordering merch will be donated to Save The Music Foundation, a non-profit charity with the goal of providing schools with the musical supplies they need for their education! For now, our cap is 40 artists and 10 writers, but this is fully dependent on the amount of applicants.Will you have guest artists?
Chromatic Vinyls has plans to invite 3-5 guest artists to our project during the interest check period. If you have someone you would like to recommend to us, you may reach out to our socials or refer them in our interest check!What merchandise will you be including?
We are currently only planning on digital merch! Phone & PC wallpapers, emotes, icons/profile pictures, printables, papercrafts, and more! What our contributors make is dependent on the interest check! If enough interest is gauged, we will allow our contributors to design physical merch.Is there an age requirement?
It is required for all contributors to be at least 16 by the time applications close. Please note that the Chromatic Vinyls zine and contributor space is strictly SFW with no exceptions.Is traditional and 3D allowed?
Yes, 3D art and renders, traditional art, and craft is allowed! For traditional art, we ask that you have a high-quality scan of your piece.What if my question wasn't answered here?
